I love checking out new restaurants, and the new Blossom Bowls is right around the corner from my house. When I stopped in, I was lucky to be served by owner Ella Fawaz. She answered my questions about vegan ingredients with meticulous care. She even called one of her suppliers to verify an ingredient!
The good news for vegans is Blossom Bowls offers very few non-vegan ingredients. What a treat!
So Many Vegan Options
Blossom Bowls focuses on bowls, smoothies, and toast, with many opportunities for customization. Vegans aren’t used to having options, so it is good that they offer signature bowls such as Acai Lover and Bowl of Heaven if case you don’t want to choose your ingredients.
Ella and her husband Moe transitioned to a healthy lifestyle after his father received a cancer diagnosis. The terrible news made them consider what they were putting in their body, and how they could potentially prevent future diseases. Their transition started with juicing and discovering healthy ingredients such as acai. They found that it becomes a habit and even changes your taste buds, so you no longer crave sugar, salt, and fat.
Ella and Moe’s philosophy for their restaurants is to create healthy indulgences. Some ingredients, like chocolate chips, will make children happy. Parents will be satisfied because their children are eating a nourishing meal.
